Musselburgh Conservation Society has set out A Vision for Musselburgh – a settlement strategy which is a positive alternative to the proposed Local Plan housing allocations (published for consultation September 2016).
It is a vision for a lesser amount of housing provided in a more systematic way, based on what gives the town its identity and character.
It is not a NIMBY or anti-development strategy – it’s about getting the right amount of development in the right places whilst protecting acknowledged assets.
We care about our townscape, the people who live in it and those who use its services.
Musselburgh Conservation Society will continue to work to ensure our town develops in a sustainable way.
